Founder

Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and athletic training from Chico State University in 1990, where he was a member of the baseball team. His passion for athletics, fitness, and science/biomechanics sparked his switch from engineering to exercise physiology/pre-physical therapy.

Dave then attended the highly acclaimed PT program at CSU Northridge, graduating in the top 10% of his class in 1993. After spending three years working for a couple of local private PT clinics, Dave opened the first Moorpark physical therapy clinic in 1996 in a quest to become more autonomous and spend ample time with patients.

In 2000, Dave became board certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) and in 2005, a board-certified sports clinical specialist (SCS), placing him in the top 1% of his field. In addition, Dave attended all the Mulligan Concept courses and passed the prestigious Certified Mulligan Practitioner exam under the direction of world-renowned physical therapists Brian Mulligan and Brian Folk. Some patients travel great distances to seek Dave’s expertise in these advanced mobilization techniques.

In 2010, Dave earned his clinical Doctorate, DPT from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA after traveling back and forth for three years.

Dave has successfully rehabbed hundreds of amateur and professional athletes over his career. He has an uncanny ability to find the problem source quickly and implement the appropriate treatment plan. He is committed to helping patients, clients, and athletes maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and return to work or sport as soon as possible by utilizing the highest level of manual therapy and exercise strategies available and customizing each program to your specific goals.
